Meet the Curlies: “Lacey” Cutecurl Black Opal

If Bella was the show star, Lacey was always the heart. The only puppy in her litter, Lacey grew up surrounded by people — which might explain why she’s still not entirely convinced she’s a dog 😅. Confident, calm, and endlessly affectionate, she’s been our steady companion and the ultimate ambassador for the Curly breed.

The Calm in the Chaos

Lacey has that beautiful, unflappable temperament that makes her everyone’s favourite. Crowded expos? No problem. New faces at Curly Walks? She’s there, tail wagging, greeting everyone like an old friend. While she never took to the show ring, she shines brightest when she’s out meeting people — showing the world just how gentle, intelligent, and good-natured Curlies really are.

Life at Home

Big, strong, and full of personality, Lacey is our daily dose of love and laughter. She starts every morning by sharing breakfast on the couch, convinced it’s her rightful spot — and she’s not wrong 💗. You can’t watch TV without her head resting in your lap, or walk through the yard without her proudly carrying her favourite toy — a purple octopus that she loves to thwack people with during playtime.

Her tail is another story altogether… it’s famous (or infamous) for its power — once even strong enough to crack a window 😅.

The Gentle Guardian

Beyond her playful side, Lacey has a nurturing soul. She’s been an incredible babysitter for our puppies during weaning, patient and protective while helping them learn the ropes of Curly life. Watching her with the little ones is a reminder of how deeply these dogs connect — not just with us, but with each other.
